Three years later, he moved in with his father, a gospel singer, at Austell, Georgia. After his parents' divorce, he settled at the Bankhead Courts housing project with his mother and grandmother. His parents divorced when he was at age six. Before living up to his celebrity name Lil Nas X, Montero Lamar Hill was born in Lithia Springs, Georgia on April 9, 1999.
